FAREWELL TRANSIT

SHOW MOMENTS FROM TRANSIT'S
FAREWELL SHOW AT THE SINCLAIR

ESSAY IS A 1 MINUTE READ ☞ JUMP TO THE SHOW MOMENTS

The second time I saw my fiancé, we were en-route to the Sinclair, to see Transit live for the first time. He bought me merch, a t-shirt with their classic anchor upsidedown. Faded but full of love, it’s a staple in my pajama rotation.

It’s hard to describe how much this music means to us. Austin, mine and Billy’s brother (present, unofficially – future, officially), introduced us, and it’s been with us ever since. In the car, on our turntable, through Spotify in the apartment, over the sink while doing dishes, and stuck in our heads when a word prompts a lyric and it’s sung between us, for hours.

And I’ve been sitting on this set for 3 1/2 years.

Mostly because it’s me, and I never finish editing or share anything. My perfectionism prevents that, it’s on me, we busy, it’s life. A little less because I finally found a program that helps me package these rough cuts how I originally envisioned.

Also, for the occasion, it’s Billy’s birthday and no one loves a good show moment from Transit more than him.

Happy Birthday, baby.
